How DocVelora Handles Your Files
Last updated: 17 October 2026. This page describes what actually happens in the code — tool by tool — rather than a generic privacy policy template.
Most tools on this site — Merge, Split, Extract, Remove pages, Rotate, Add page numbers, Watermark, JPG/PNG to PDF — run entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Your files never leave your device for these. Word to PDF is the one exception: it briefly uploads your file to our server to perform the conversion, then deletes it immediately.
Tool-by-tool breakdown
Local browser processing (never uploaded)
Temporary server processing (uploaded, then deleted)
What "temporary" means for Word to PDF
When you convert a DOCX file:
- Your file is uploaded to our server over an encrypted connection and saved to a temporary folder under a random, non-guessable filename.
- The file is converted to PDF, then the original DOCX is deleted immediately — before the response is even sent back to your browser.
- The converted PDF is deleted the instant you download it, or automatically after a short retention window if you never download it.
- We do not read, scan, or store the contents of your document beyond what's needed to perform the conversion.
What we don't do
- We don't require an account or ask for your email to use any tool.
- We don't sell or share your documents or their contents.
- We don't keep a history of files you've processed.
Analytics
We may use basic, privacy-respecting analytics to understand which tools are used and to fix problems (for example, counting that "Merge PDF" was used, without logging the contents or filenames of the PDFs involved).
